Day modules and evening classes
Not everyone can study full or part-time, or wishes to pursue a validated award. IBI offers the option of studying in a way that will fit in with your current commitments. You can study at IBI during the day, in the evening, online, as part of a ‘short course’ or in any combination of these. All of our options are biblically-based and applicable to church, ministry and real life as a Christian. That is what “applied theology” is all about!
Each Tuesday evening during the following dates:
Discipleship /Tuesday 4th Sept 2019 - Nov 13th 2019/ 7.00 pm - 9.45 pm
Interpreting and Applying the Bible / Tuesday Nov 20th- Feb 12th 2020 / 7.00 pm - 9.45 pm
Life and Teaching of Jesus / Tuesday Feb 26th 2020 - May 5th 2020 / 7.00 pm - 9.45 pm
Certificate classes are at first year University level and modular applicants will need to show evidence they can study at this level. Modular applicants for Level 2 (Diploma) modules will normally have completed a number of Level 1 IBI modules or have studied theology at Level 1.
All modular applicants need to be able to access Moodle (our online learning platform), complete weekly reading and participate fully in the class.
Each module costs:
For Audit, which means that you turn up for class and participate in all in class work = €225
With assignments, all class work plus assignments and grading = €325
To complete the IBI Certificate and gain credit, which means you get credit for every module you take and it can add up to a Certificate qualification = €475
You can study towards an IBI Foundation Award by combining a series of classroom and/or online courses and/or short courses.
A Foundation Award must complete the following:
Eight online or short courses with Completion Awards
Four classroom modules done with assignment
A combination of the above.
(One completed classroom module is equivalent to two completed online or short courses.)
IBI offers occasional ‘short courses’ related to selected day, evening or online modules.
