IBI Office Manager

The Irish Bible Institute (IBI) is seeking to appoint a new Office Manager

Part-time role (20-25 hours per week)

The Office Manager will be fully committed to IBI’s mission, vision and values.

The ideal candidate must have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills and have the temperament and aptitude that will enable them to work in a multi-tasking environment where efficiency and accuracy are essential.

Person Specification

Key skills (essential):

·         proven ability to take initiative and organise;

·         proven ability to manage teams;

·         proven ability to manage projects;

·         able to work flexibly within the IBI working environment, adjusting to the fluctuating demands of an academic year;

·         proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate effectively to others (students and the IBI team);

·         proven ability to work with others;

·         excellent IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel);

·         good written communication skills.

Other skills (desirable)

·         experience in the education sector;

·         experience in education management;

·         PR/communications experience;

·         administration qualification or equivalent experience.

Job Specification

The Office Manager will be responsible to the Principal, and the main areas of responsibility and oversight will be:

Office manager

Staff management

Administrative support for the Principal

General administration

IBI staff team

As part of the IBI staff team, the Office Manager will also be involved in staff team activities and will be expected to contribute fully to the IBI community life. They will at all times be expected to promote the ethos, values and mission of IBI through both their actions and communications.
