The Holy Spirit and the Christian Life

This course explores what the Bible says about the new covenant ministry of the Holy Spirit. There is special focus on two writers – Luke and Paul. We examine the Spirit in Acts and the Spirit in the letters of Paul. Taking a step back we also look at the 'big picture' of the Spirit's role within God's redemptive purposes for individuals and the church. As we go, there will be a number of student led seminars on key NT texts. And we will always be moving from 'head' to 'hands' and 'heart' implications as we consider how Christians in history have understood what it means to ‘walk by the Spirit’ in everyday Christian life.
