Steven Singleton PhD

Steven is the Principal at IBI.

Helping people to understand and engage with the Bible is a major focal point in my Christian journey. I came to faith through reading the Bible when I was an engineering student (I hadn't read it much before then); I experienced God's call on my life to teach the Bible.

Family wise, I’m blessed to be surrounded by three wonderful women – my wife Ines and our two grown-up two daughters. We live in Maynooth and I am an elder in Maynooth Community Church. I do a fair bit of preaching and speaking at various events and churches. Some favourite things include golf, hiking & camping, travel, reading, blogging, dinner with friends and time alone with Saint Bob (Dylan that is). I feel a calling to write for the wider church and have had The Message of Love (IVP) published in 2019 as well as quite a few other book chapters and articles.

Sarah Crane 2015.jpg

Sarah Crane

Sarah works as IBI’s Academic Administrative and student support role since 2015.

My role within the team helping students, administering their courses, and supporting the teaching team allows me to practically apply my gifts in organising and encouraging. It is a privilege to inform enquirers and then guide applicants through the journey from their first class to the graduation platform and see students achieve their goals.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking in the Wicklow mountains near where I live and love to simply spend a day out on the hills with my flask. I have an Archaeology degree from Leicester University and completed a diploma in Biblical Studies in Scotland a number of years ago. In 2017, I achieved a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy which opened up to me the fascinating world of human behaviour.

If you phone IBI about any course, it will likely be me that you talk to - I look forward to taking your call.
