Your gift can cross an ocean
Across the ocean, we are united in one mission: to see lives transformed and the church strengthened for the work God has called us to do.
Your gift can cross an ocean
Although the Atlantic Ocean separates Ireland and the United States geographically, we are journeying together in the work of the gospel.
This year at the Irish Bible Institute, we are celebrating students who are graduating after years of study, growth and preparation for Christian life and ministry. Among them is Cody Scrivens, who is originally from Los Angeles and came to Ireland to be involved in ministry and study theology in his new context.
His journey is an excellent reminder of what can happen when Christians choose to invest in theological education.
““Originally coming from Los Angeles, I had done some theological training before in the States. I wanted to get more ministry training and to do it in an Irish context. With IBI, I’ve got to experience a snapshot of what Ireland looks like for ministry, for work and for faith. You find a family spirit where people care for you; that combination is rare in theological training. ”
“IBI has equipped me; it really is a place where it’s not just them giving you the answers, it’s them giving you the ways to be able to discern and be equipped in Bible teaching, preaching and application.””
A student arrives at IBI with questions, a desire to grow, and often a sense of calling. Through their studies, they are equipped to understand Scripture more deeply, think theologically, grow in faith and put what they are learning into practice.
They take the learning beyond the classroom into local churches, into youth ministry, into everyday conversations with people who are searching for answers, into families and communities
One student’s journey can touch many lives.
And your support can be part of that journey.
For more than 40 years, IBI has been equipping Christians to live out the gospel in their communities. We believe theological education is not only for pastors or academics. It is for all Christians who want to know God more deeply and serve him faithfully wherever he has placed them.
Our students come from many different backgrounds and places and go on to serve in many different ways. What they have in common is a desire to follow Jesus and make a difference in Ireland and the world around them.
This is where your partnership matters.
IBI is committed to making theological education accessible, but tuition fees alone do not cover the full cost of providing this education. The generosity of friends and churches helps us continue this work and provides opportunities for students who might otherwise struggle to study.
When you give to IBI, you are not simply supporting a college in Dublin.
You are investing in people who will serve the mission of God and the church in Ireland.
You are helping equip students who will make a difference in our country. And although your gift may begin thousands of miles away, its impact can reach much further than you imagine.
Your gift can cross an ocean.
Would you consider making a gift to IBI this year and joining us in equipping Christians to live out the gospel in Ireland?
Thank you for standing with us, for praying for our students and for partnering with IBI through the work of the US Board. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and for the part you play in this ministry.
With gratitude and every blessing,
Beannacht Dé ort. Go raibh maith agat.
(May God bless you. Thank you.)
Yours in Christ,
Steven Singleton
